This particular kit consists of:

-Pistons  (Mahle-Clevite/Interstate-McBee)  *Specify BOWL Desired*

  • *STOCK/STREET DRIVEN TRUCKS UNDER 500-600HP SHOULD USE THE OEM BOWL, THE 155 deg. SPRAY ANGLE  LARGE MARINE BOWL WILL REDUCE COMPRESSION TO AROUND 16.5:1-17:1*
  • If you select the Marine Bowl option you will receive pistons that have had the tops tapered, if you desire excessive tapering of the tops for extreme applications where excessive swelling will occur please let us know. (this can allow additional heat to reach the top ring and can lead to premature tension loss though so is not ideal on street driven trucks that don’t really need it tapered as much)
  • There are many piston bowl/compression height configurations for the 12V Cummins.  If you have a ’89-’93 Dodge First Generation Pickup with a VE Rotary Pump or a Industrial/Skid Steer/Loader/Fork-Lift/etc engine please contact us with the 8-digit Engine Serial Number so we can check with the manufacturers to make sure we supply you the correct design and compression ratio.

-Upper Cylinder Head Gasket Set (Mahle-Clevite/Interstate-McBee)  *OEM & Thicker Options available as well*
-Lower Conversion Oil Pan Gasket Set  (Mahle-Clevite/Interstate-McBee)
-Crank Seals (Mahle-Clevite/Interstate-McBee)    *Crank Seals with Wear Sleeves are available as well*

Other Items to Consider:

-*Cylinder Head Bolts (Factory Torque-to-yield or ARP Studs) *Please note ARP Studs require milling of rocker stands.*
-*Connecting Rod Bolts (Factory Torque-to-yield or ARP Bolts)
-Oil Pump
-Oil Cooler  *Should be replaced if any metal particles went through the oil system*
-Thermostat
-Water Pump
-Camshaft Tappets (Also check for irregular camshaft lobe wear and flaking)
-Excessive Push Rod/Push Tube Wear On Ball End
-Rocker Shaft & Rocker Arm Bushing Wear (last area oil travels and can generally be galled up, check oiling hole too!)
*Many times the rocker shaft can be buffed to remove the bushing material that has been transferred and everything reused*
