Freedom is not free! Although most of our lives may seem like they are back to normal after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, there are countless others who are still broken hearted and grieving over the loss of loved ones. There are also others who have loved ones fighting for our freedom! They are both proud and troubled at the same time. Keep these families, President Bush and the leaders of our country, our military, our families, and churches in your prayers. Sometimes we have to hit "rock bottom" before we realize we can't do it all by ourselves. We need to rely on God. In 1 Corinthians 13:13 we are told: And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love. Although we live in a morally corrupt society, we learn from this verse that love is the greatest of all human qualities. Love involves unselfish service to others. Faith is the foundation and content of God's message. Hope is our attitude and focus (love in action). Please live your life to the fullest, treasure your family and friends. Love like there will be no tomorrow. Don't cling to minor disagreements. Our lives are what we make of them! If we focus on the troubled times of our lives then we will be miserable. BUT, if we learn from the troubled times, and focus on the good times we would live in a much better society! Do your part to bring love and joy to others around you. Take a few seconds out of your day to say "hi" or hold a door for someone. There's no better time to start than NOW!
